I love Sushi, it's my favourite food and as a result Sticks 'n' Sushi at the Cross Rail in Canary Wharf is one of my latest food discoveries and has fast become a favourite with me (I'd eat there everyday if I could!)

Sticks’n’Sushi was founded 18 years ago by brothers Jens and Kim Rahbek and Thor Andersen. Taking inspiration from their half-Japanese, half-Danish background, they created a unique cuisine that combines two culinary traditions. Sticks’n’Sushi has become a huge success in Denmark and one of Copenhagen's busiest restaurants.

The Ebi Bites started are a must. Delicious prawn wrapped in what looks like fried Rice Krispies with chili, coriander, pepper, miso-aïoli & fresh lime, so moreish!! My favourite thing is the Miso marinated black Cod Gunkan with tsume & sesame (in the photo above). The marinated Cod is beautifully flavoured and just melts in your mouth! I could honestly eat a giant plateful of these, they're just so good!
The Kaburimaki/topped rolls are really good, we had the Crispy Ebi rolls (tempura prawn/shrimp, avocado,
spicy sauce, tsume soy) with the Black Cod Dragon rolls (miso marinated black cod, avocado, cream cheese & tsume soy, rolled in sesame) and they were amazingly good. Everything tasted so fresh and the flavour combinations were perfect. You can see the Danish influence throughout the menu but especially with the meat dishes such as the Goats Cheese with dried Ham Yakitori sticks and I've heard lots of good things about the meat dishes from friends.
There is also an extensive tea menu (definitely my kind of restaurant). The Matcha tea looked beautiful and fun as the waiter comes along with a little wooden whisk to mix the tea for you!
When it comes to dessert, the Crème Brûlée has it nailed! We tried the bergamot with orange and the vanilla ones and they were both incredible! I'm so hungry just thinking about it all!
I'm definitely a Sticks 'n' Sushi fan, sometimes I'm often tempted to go there and get take out for lunch.....actually that sounds like a genius idea right about now.....
