Unless I'm on holiday somewhere hot and a little humid, my hands can get really dry so I'm always on the look out for a really good hand cream. The L'Occitane Almond Velvet hand cream was a recent discovery and it instantly has become a life saver for my hands.
Almonds are well-known for being high in Vitamin E and their ability to soften and nourish the skin. L'Occitan's Almond range is lovely. I'm already a fan of the Almond shower oil and Almond Delicious Soap which is perfect for travelling.

L'Occitane state that the formula is 'enriched with the Almond Youth Complex, an exclusive blend of three active ingredients, and UV filters, this rich yet silky and velvety hand cream stimulates collagen production and helps to protect the youthfulness of your hands:
• Hands are intensely nourished• Skin looks smoother and fine lines appear reduced
• Skin is more even and appearance of sun induced spots is reduced.'
My hands are definitely smoother and more nourished and my nail feels stronger too. The consistency of the cream is thick enough to deeply nourish my hands and the formula sinks in like a dream, but no greasy hands, they just feel and look healthy. The scent is lovely, remind me of the scent of little babies (in a good way of course); like baby lotion but very subtle. My mum tried out the cream too and loved how smooth her hands felt. The hand cream has the added benefit of containing SPF 15 so you're getting sun protection without having to think too hard about it.
The packaging is lovely, it's caught people's eye at work and when out. It looks very cute on my desk and as it's next to my workspace I remember to apply it through the day, win, win. Definitely a staple product for me and I always make sure it's in my bag when heading out.
