Glamour Beauty Festival

I woke up super excited yesterday as I was going to be heading down to the Saatchi Gallery for the first ever Glamour Beauty Festival! It's no secret that I'm a bit of a beauty addict (a bit!) so yesterday afternoon I was very much like a kid in a sweetshop as I marvelled at all the amazing beauty and hair treats right in front of me, it was so much fun!

There was so much beauty and hair goodness with the likes of Nars, Laura Mercia, Benefit Brow Bar, Illamasqua, ghd, Redken UK, Lancôme, OGX Beauty, OPI and many more, that in all honesty I didn't really know where to start, I was just enjoying wandering around and seeing what was on show. Before I knew it , it was time to head to the Tanya Burr and Zoe Ball talk. I managed to bag a seat at the front and for the next 45 minutes I was enthralled and just listened intently. I love Tanya's blog and YouTube channel and I admire her work ethic so it was great to hear her talk about how her blog and chanel grew and gain some blogging advice. Zoe Ball was brilliant as she kept us all entertained and laughing throughout the talk with her observations and questions, many of which we all wanted to ask but were too shy to. By the end of the talk I felt so motivated and excited about my own blog and couldn't wait to be blogging again.
Getting my hair done at the Redken stand was a lot of fun and a real highlight for me. I opted for the 'Grecian Twist' style and I couldn't have been happier with the results! I was trying to watch my hairdresser and remember exactly what she did so that I can recreate it at home in future, but I already know I won't be able to get it this perfect when I attempt it. I left feeling inspired to try more up dos with my hair. I may need to pick up sometimes from YouTube tutorials first though.
The event was sponsored by Fiat which meant my favourite car the new Fiat 500 was on show and in mint green! I love mint green (my friends will be rolling their eyes as they read this) and this is such a cute car which would be the perfect runaround for me and I am planning on getting a car later this year so we'll see what happens.
I'm a huge fan of Glamour magazine, I've been reading it since it first came out in the UK and I love the beauty, fashion and cover stories in every issue. Glamour makes me think of many happy memories such as grabbing a copy at the airport on the way to some exciting destination or one of the Glamour questionnaires with my best friend and having a bit of a giggle over a cup of tea and I'm excited about the happy memories to come.
The skincare section was great! Elizabeth Arden, Liz Earle and Balance Me all hand stands. I hand such a relaxing hand and arm message at Balance Me followed by a skin consultation and I left with a face wash, moisturiser and face mask to try at home. The face wash has gone straight into my travel wash bag as it's the perfect size for the gym and trips away.
I picked up an incredible Glamour Beauty goodie bag and when I got home and had a look at the bounty inside, I could believe my luck! So many gorgeous things like the nail polishes form O.P.I and Illamasqa and the lip glosses from Laura Mercier and Nars, again perfect travel size items. The giant hairspray from Redken has taken pride of place on my dressing table already too!
I got a chance to pick up the new Lancôme Juicy Shaker from the Lancôme stand and I felt nostalgic about my Juicy Tubes days and my first lip gloss experience. The Juicy Shaker is a tinted lip oil and I opted for the Berry Tale shade. We were asked if we wanted to get out Juicy Shaker illustrated and I jumped at the chance! Of course I asked for a Pineapple design.
I had a great time at the Glamour Beauty Festival, it was an incredible afternnoon of all things beauty.  I bumped into so many amazing makeup artists and bloggers such as Mary Greenwell who had the most incredible pink hair and gave me pink hair envy, Sam and Nicola Chapman from PixiwooElla Catliff, Tanya Burr and Jo Elvin the Editor of Glamour magazine. I definitely hope that this is the start of a regular beauty event by Glamour as I would love to attend again.

Did you manage to catch the first ever Glamour Beauty Festival? What was you're highlight?
