New York Photo Diary

As some of you may already know, I went on holiday recently to visit my lovely friend Sarah in New York and over the next week or so I'll be sharing a number of posts of the highlights of my trip. However as I was sorting through the photos for my posts, I began to reminisce and really miss New York so I thought I would kick us all off with a photo diary of my holiday.

Taste of London Festival

Those of you who know me or follow my blog or Instagram will know that I'm very much a food lover and a regular at the Taste of London Food and Restaurant festival, which my gorgeous friend Shalina helps organise. My friend and blog photographer Gerrod an I headed down to the festival at London's Regent's Park last Saturday and despite getting very much caught in the rain, we had such a fun time at Taste and oh my did we eat a lot of delicious food!

Today I'm Wearing

I've been experimenting a little with my wardrobe lately, picking up some new Summer pieces and having fun putting it all together with a little bit of 'shopping my closet' thrown in too. One of the new pieces to my Summer wardrobe is this lovely sleeveless waterfall duster jacket from Forever 21

Om Yoga and U.N International Yoga Day!

This month there really is just too much in the June edition of Om Yoga, for me to just pick one favourite feature. If you're interested in taking your yoga practice further and considering teaching yoga teacher then I really recommend this month's magazine as it is the yoga teaching special edition.

Today I'm Wearing

This outfit is one of my favourites at the moment. It's so comfy (I'm such a comfort seeker) & I love every piece which makes up the finished look, especially the statement kimono jacket. The jacket was a recent purchase, I wasn't even really looking for another kimono but I spied this in River Island & thought it was different to the plethora of kimonos available at the moment. I liked that it has sleeves & is lined making it feel more like a jacket. The length is ideal for me & I think it would work really well with a dress too.

Balayage Update

For a while now, I've been wanting to update my Balayage as some of the tones had begun to look a little brassy and a refresh was really needed. I am definitely a Balayage convert now as I love how it gives my hair added depth but at the same time is very low maintenance as I don't need to get my roots done every few weeks and it can just naturally grow out. I wanted to tone down the brassy blond parts and add some caramel tones, which I mentioned when I went into my usual hairdressersBrooks and Brooks to get my fringe trimmed and they recommended I spoke to Shaun about updating my Balayage.

Today I'm Wearing

This weekend has been lovely, I had a wonderful afternoon and evening of BBQ fun with my friends, the jet leg is wearing off and after a shaky start on Saturday morning, my diabetes and my blood sugars seem to have calmed down and so far are behaving. The sun is out and although not quite warm enough for me to leave the house without a jacket; the sunshine has meant I can finally get out and get some outfit pictures done to share with you.
